Virtual Citizen
AAS is joining NEHA to advance environmental health before policy makers in Washington, DC and at the state and local levels by participating in Virtual Citizen. Virtual Citizen is an advocacy tool that allows our members to engage in campaigns encouraging public officials to support environmental health efforts.
The Virtual Citizen software provides the technology to advance the profession before members of Congress, state legislators, and local editorial boards all from a single platform. From the links on our Advocacy page, members can send messages or craft messages to send to their Congressional delegation (or state policy makers) regarding FDA and CDC appropriations, to the Administration on including environmental health in the Public Health Loan Forgiveness, to their state legislators regarding food safety or food freedom laws, or to local editorial boards to discuss the value of the NEHA-FDA Retail Flexible Funding Model (RFFM) Grant Program. These messages can be in the form of letters, phone calls, e-mail messages, or text messages, or a combination of these.
We invite you to review the links below, and contribute to advocating for environmental health.
